Our old glass bottles showed the weight of the TREE HIVE® Syrup contained in the bottle. This is shown at the bottom of the glass bottle shown as ‘NET WT.’ If you measured the amount of syrup in fluid ounces inside the old glass bottle, you’d get 12.5 FL OZ.
Our retail partners asked us to switch from showing net weight to showing fluid ounces of syrup in the big bottles. We switched from ‘net weight’ to ‘fluid ounces’ on the label at the same time we switched our bottles from heavy glass to custom plastic.
So, the new bottles show 12.5 FL OZ (which is how much was in the glass bottles)! Technically there’s still 17.5 ounces by weight in these plastic bottles…but we only show the volume now, not the weight.
There’s the same amount of syrup in the glass and plastic bottles. Sorry for any confusion!
